LG Electronics has officially launched its latest flagship AI home agent, a move that marks a significant evolution in the company’s “Affectionate Intelligence” vision. Unlike traditional smart speakers, this new robotic hub features advanced multimodal sensing technology, allowing it to recognize not just voice commands, but also the emotional state and physical gestures of its users.

The device serves as a central “nerve center” for the modern household. By integrating LG’s proprietary ThinQ AI, the hub can autonomously manage energy consumption by syncing with appliances during off-peak hours, thereby reducing electricity costs for families. One of the standout features is its ability to act as a security guard and pet monitor when the owner is away, sending real-time alerts if unusual movement is detected.

LG’s CEO highlighted that the goal is to transform the home from a collection of “passive machines” into a “proactive living space.” This launch is part of LG’s broader 2030 strategy to pivot from a traditional hardware manufacturer into a “Smart Life Solution Company,” focusing on recurring service revenue through its expanding smart home ecosystem.
