Learn how to become a Google Certified Educator (GCE) if you love Google products and are looking for a professional development opportunity. Level 2 is more advanced, while level 1 teaches the fundamentals of using Google in the classroom.
You can learn more about how to use Google to motivate students, save time, and communicate effectively in Level 2. You can get your official certificate by passing an exam after learning the material.
Step 1: Obtaining a Level 1 certification is the first step in becoming a Google Certified Educator
Choose level 1 certification if you are new to Google products or want to learn how to use Google in the classroom. This level can teach you how to use technology to save time, how to improve communication, how to use videos in the classroom, and how to teach students how to use the internet.
You might want to learn even more classroom-appropriate tools once you have level 1 skills. Level 2 teaches how to create interactive courses, teach students how to conduct research, and set up online classrooms.
Level 1 doesn’t have to be finished for you to get your level 2 certification.
Step 2: Complete three learning modules to become a Google Certified Educator
Your modules will cover the same broad topics whether you are enrolled in the basic or advanced program. You’ll learn what you’ll learn, what products you’ll cover, and what skills you’ll need in each module. Throughout each lesson, you will read passages, listen to audio, and watch videos. Engage in professional development and leadership are the modules for levels 1 and 2.
